Spaghetti Bolognaise

1lb of lean mince beef
1 tsp dried oregano or basil
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 beef stock cube
½ pint of water
1 dsp of tomato puree
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
6 mushrooms, chopped
1 red or green pepper, diced
3 oz. of chopped broccoli (use frozen to save time)
7 oz. can of sweetcorn
1 large carrot, peeled and grated
8 oz. of spaghetti
Salt and pepper to taste

Spaghetti Bolognaise Directions

  1. On a dry pan and using a low heat, fry the mince beef, oregano/basil, onions and mushrooms. Add
    the water, beef stock cube, tin of tomatoes, tomato puree and vegetables and season with pepper
    to taste. Cook gently for 45 minutes to reduce and thicken the sauce. Cook the spaghetti following
    the instructions on pack and serve with the bolognese on top.
