Job opportunities for new graduate Dietitians!

New graduates can be offered an immediate contract whilst awaiting their CORU registration. 

Initial full time paid contract as a Dietetic Assistant will be at an MTA (multi-task attendant) grade with an immediate move to the Staff Grade Dietitian salary as soon as CORU registration is confirmed.

Previously registered Dietitians who already have their CORU are also welcome to apply.

We are recruiting in Cork Kerry Community Healthcare (CHO 4) for:

  • Community Dietitian, Staff Grade (temporary) – option for new graduates as Dietetic Assistant whilst awaiting CORU
  • Community Dietitian, Senior (temporary)

Panels will be created to fill current and future temporary Dietitian Staff Grade and Senior vacancies of full or part time duration in Cork city; Cork county and Kerry.

Details of the service: The Community Nutrition & Dietetic Service in Cork and Kerry Community Healthcare (CHO 4) currently provide a Nutrition & Dietetic service in Primary Care, Disability, Older Persons Services and Mental Health care groups across the service area.  

This is a well-established and dynamic department.

Purpose of the post: The Dietitian will work as a part of the Community Nutrition & Dietetic Service and also as part of the Primary Care multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Dietetic Services for Adults and Children. This will include Primary Care Dietetic Services (1:1 and group education programmes), residential services for older people, nutrition training and nutrition health promotion programmes.

The candidate must have:

  • The relevant necessary qualifications as per Job Specification (attached)
  • The requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
  • Must have CORU Registration - or evidence that an application is being processed.
