Senior Dietitian (Temporary, Part-time)

The role includes promotion and support of health by means of sound nutritional advice and/or nutritional intervention within the National Rehabilitation Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the nutritional status of each patient referred, estimating individual nutritional requirements, and devising, monitoring and reviewing individualized care plans as appropriate. They will educate relatives or carers on the relevant aspects of the patient’s nutritional support or therapeutic diet as well as assisting the Dietitian Manager in developing educational materials and resources for individual patients and patient groups. In addition they will assist the Dietitian Manager in devising and implementing nutritional policies for the hospital.
The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:
- Sc. Degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics Or
- Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics from College of Technology, Kevin Street Or
- Qualification in Dietetics at least equivalent to the above.
- A minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience.
- Current registration with CORU
