Clinical Specialist Dietitian. Cystic Fibrosis and Lung Transplantation.

The Mater Hospital is the National Heart Lung Transplantation service, and this delivers care to a group with cystic fibrosis. The nutritional care of those with Cystic Fibrosis undergoing lung transplantation is highly complex due to multiple nutritional comorbidities. This post holder will lead the delivery of the nutritional care to this group across the service, including pre op, peri op and post operative longterm follow up. Nutritional outcomes and KPIs will be established and monitored.

The Clinical Specialist Dietitian will work closely with his/her colleagues on the lung transplant team to develop and deliver a specialist inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition service to the Cystic Fibrosis population referred to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH).
